Court (Interim Prohibitory Order) (Amendment) Act, 1992

Act No.49 of 1992

An Act made to amend the Court (Interim Prohibitory Order) Act, 1989

Where as it is expedient to amend the Court (Interim Prohibitory Order) Act, 1989 (Act No.32 of 1989) for carrying out the purposes mentioned below;

Now, therefore, it is enacted as follows:-

1. Short title.- This Act may be called the Court (Interim Prohibitory Order) (Amendment) Act, 1992.

2. Amendment of section 2 of Act No.32 of 1989.- In sub-section (1) of section 2 of the Court (Interim Prohibitory Order) Act, 1989 (Act No.32 of 1989) shall-

i) after clause a) be inserted the following new clause aa), namely:-
"aa) may oppose or impede the implementation of any works relating to the transport, preservation, supply, buying or selling of foodstuff; or", and
ii) for the word, conjunction and letters "clause a) or b)" shall be substituted the word, conjunction, letters and comma "clause a), aa) or b)".
