President's Pension (Amendment) Act, 1995

Act No.23 of 1995

An Act made to further amend the President's Pension Ordinance, 1979 (XVIII of 1979) and to amend the President's Pension (Amendment) Act, 1988

Whereas it is expedient further to amend the President's Pension Ordinance, 1979 (XVIII) and to amend the President's Pension (Amendment) Act, 1988 for the purpose hereinafter appearing;

Now, therefore, it is herewith enacted as follows:-

1. Short title and commencement.- This Act may be called the President's Pension (Amendment) Act, 1995.

2. Amendment of section 2 of Ordinance XVIII of 1979.- In section 2 of the President's Pension Ordinance, 1979 (XVIII of 1979), in sub-section (1),-

(a) for the word "half" the words "seventy five percent" shall be substituted; and
(b) for the words "before he ceased to hold such office" the words and comma "subject to a minimum of seventy thousand five hundred taka" shall be substituted.
