                   THE BANGLADESH RED CROSS SOC-
                    IETY (AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE,
                                   1987

                          Ordinance No.XVI of 1987

An Ordinance made further to amend the Bangladesh Red Cross Society Order, 1987

Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Bangladesh Red Cross Society Order, 1973 (P.O.
No.26 of 1973), for carrying out the purposes hereinafter appearing;

and whereas Parliament is not in session and the President is satisfied that circumstances exist
which render immediate action necessary;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Article 93 (1) of the Constitution,
the President is pleased to make and promulgate the following Ordinance:-

1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Ordinance may be called the Bangladesh Red
Cross Society (Amendment) Ordinance, 1987.
(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 23th February, 1985.

2. Amendment of Article 9C of P.O. No.26 of 1973.- In Article 9C of the Bangladesh Red
Cross Society Order, 1973 (P.O. No.26 of 1973), in clause (2) (b), for the word, number and
letter "Article 7B" the word, number and letter "Article 9B" shall be substituted.
