THE SUPREME COURT JUDGES
(REM-
UNERATION AND PRIVILEGES) (AMEND-
MENT) ORDINANCE, 1987
Ordinance No.XIX of 1987
An Ordinance made further to amend the Supreme Court Judges (Remuneration
and
Privileges) Ordinance, 1978
Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Supreme Court Judges (Remuneration
and
Privileges) Ordinance, 1978 (XI of 1978), for carrying out the purposes
heretoafter appearing;
and whereas Parliament is not in session and the President is satisfied
that circumstances exist
which render immediate action necessary;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Article
93 (1) of the Constitution,
the President is pleased to make and promulgate the following Ordinance:-
1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Ordinance may be called the
Supreme Court
Judges (Remuneration and Privileges) (Amendment) Ordinance, 1987.
(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the first June, 1987.
2. Insertion of a new section in Ordinance No.XI of 1978.- After section
3 of the Supreme
Court Judges (Remuneration and Privileges) Ordinance, 1978 (XI of 1978)
the following new
section shall be inserted, namely:-
"3B. Dearness allowance.- There shall be paid
to a Judge, until the Government
otherwise directs by order in this behalf,
dearness allowance at the rate of Taka 400
per mensem.".
