Rules under section 3(1) prescribing limitations upon the exercise of powers by certain officers
LABOUR (LIMITATION OF DUTIES AND POWERS) RULES
Citation.
1. These Rules may be cited as the Labour (Limitation of Duties andPowers) Rules.
Limitation of Duties and Powers.
2. The duties and powers of any officer appointed under section 3(1)of the Act other than the Commissioner of Labour or any Deputy Commissioner ofLabour or Assistant Commissioner of Labour shall be limited as follows, that isto say such officer may perform only the duties imposed and exercise only thepowers conferred on the Commissioner by the following sections of the Act—

4(1) | Entry to places of employment and questioning of employers and workmen. |
6 | Inspection of documents, substances etc. |
7 and 129 | Inquiries, institution of proceedings and issue of summonses. |
22 | Attestation of contracts. |
26 | Transfer of contracts. |
77 and 81 | Inspection of registers of young persons employed in industrial undertakings and ships. |
108(5) | Orders prohibiting deductions from wages in lieu of notice. |
113(2) (f) | Approval of deductions from wages for damage or loss of goods entrusted to a worker. |
