NATIONAL REGISTRATION

(TRANSITIONAL PROVISIONS) REGULATIONS

Commencement: 14th July 1979

Citation.

1. These Regulations may be cited as the National Registration (Transitional Provisions) Regulations.

Persons to be re-registered.

2. Every person within Brunei Darussalam to whom identity cardor replacement thereof has been issued in accordance with the provisions of theNational Registration Regulations (hereinafter referred to as the Principal Regulations) and who has not re- registered since 30th day ofNovember 1974 shall, not later than 1st day of July 1979, report to aRegistration Officer and re-register.

Offence.

3. (1) Any person who fails to comply with the provisions ofregulation 2 shall be guilty of an offence: Penalty, imprisonment for 2 yearsand a fine of $5,000.

(2) An offence under sub-regulation (1) shall be a seizable offence for thepurpose of the law relating to criminal procedure.
