I
The Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Canadian Embassy in Greece to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece
CANADIAN EMBASSY
ATHENS, June 26, 1957
His Excellency Averoff-Tosizza,
Minister of Foreign Affairs,
Athens
Excellency,
I have the honour to refer to the discussions between officials of our two Governments concerning visa requirements for diplomatic representatives and officials of our two countries.
Upon instructions from my Government, I have the honour to propose that diplomatic representatives and officials of Canada and Greece accredited in or posted to Greece or Canada respectively, as well as members of their families and staffs who hold diplomatic or special passports, may obtain visas valid for an unlimited number of entries to or departures from Greece or Canada during the appointment of the representatives and officials concerned in that country or for the period of validity of their passports whichever is the lesser.
If the foregoing proposal is acceptable to your Government, I have the honour to suggest that this note and your reply to that effect shall constitute an Agreement between our two Governments, which shall come into force one month after the date of your reply and shall remain in force until thirty days after a notice of termination has been given by either Government.
Accept, Excellency, the renewed assurances of my highest consideration.
David Stansfield
Chargé d'Affaires a.i.
