His Excellency Petter Graver,
Ambassador of Norway,
Ottawa.

Excellency,

I have the honour to refer to the Exchange of Notes of October 16, 1980 constituting an agreement between our two Governments for the purpose of facilitating the reciprocal enforcement of maintenance orders between Norway and the Province of British Columbia, and to the Embassy’s Note No. XV-8/81 of February 19, 1981 proposing that the said agreement be amended to provide for the reciprocal enforcement of maintenance orders between Norway and the Province of Manitoba.

I have the honour to inform you that this amendment is acceptable to the Government of Canada, and to propose that this Note, which is authentic in English and French, and your reply shall constitute an Agreement between our two Governments, amending the Exchange of Notes of October 16, 1980, which shall enter into force on the date of your reply.

I have the honour to refer to your Note No FLE-1560 of December 7th 1981, which reads as follows:

“(See Canadian Note No. FLE-1560 of December 7, 1981)”

In reply, I have the honour to inform Your Excellency that this proposal is acceptable to the Government of the Kingdom of Norway, who will regard Your Excellency’s Note and this reply as constituting an Agreement between our two Governments, amending the Agreement of 16th October 1980, which shall enter into force on the date of this Note.
