ACT NO. 32 OF 2002
[3rd June, 2002.]
An Act further to amend the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order, 1950 and the Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order, 1950 so as to provide for inclusion of certain Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes oustees of the States of Madhya Pradesh and Mahara htra, who have been displaced due to Sardar Sarovar Project on the Narmada River and are settled or may be settled in the State of Gujarat, in the lists of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes specified in relation to the State of Gujarat. BE it enacted by Parliament in the fifty-third Year of the Republic of India as follows:-Short title. 1. Short title.-This Act may be called the Constitution (Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes) Orders (Amendment) Act, 2002.
Amendment of the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order, 1950. 2. Amendment of the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order, 1950.-In the Schedule to the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order, 1950, in PART IV.-Gujarat, after entry 30, the following entries shall be inserted, namely:- "31. Balahi, Balai 32. Bhangi, Mehtar 33. Chamar 34. Chikwa, Chikvi 35. Koli, Kori 36. Kotwal (in Bhind, Dhar, Dewas, Guna, Gwalior, Indore, Jhabua, Khargone, Mandsaur, Morena, Rajgarh, Ratlam, Shajapur, Shivpuri, Ujjain and Vidisha districts).".
Amendment of the Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order, 1950. 3. Amendment of the Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order, 1950.-In the Schedule to the Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order, 1950, in PART IV.-Gujarat, after entry 29, the following entries shall be inserted, namely:- "30. Bhil, Bhilala, Barela, Patelia 31. Tadvi Bhil, Bawra, Vasave 32. Padvi.". ---- SUBHASH C. JAIN, Secy. to the Govt. of India.
