“I have in my letter No. PO32/11/16/8694 dated the 4th May, 1965 conveyed His Majesty’s Government of Nepal’s request in regard to the Indian assistance for the installation of three generating sets in the Trisuli Hydel Project in addition to the four generating sets already provided by the Government of India under the Agreement signed on 20.11.1958. I understand that the Trisuli Hydel Project with four generating units would cost Rs.1232.40 lakhs Indian Currency and that the cost of the additional three generating units will be Rs.55.60 lakhs Indian Currency, making a total of Rs.1288.00 lakhs Indian Currency according to the latest revised estimates. His Majesty’s Government of Nepal will be grateful, if the Government of India take early steps for the installation of three additional generating units out of the funds from the overall aid to be made available to Nepal during the period April 1, 1966 to March 31, 1971. His Majesty’s Government will be pleased to continue to extend all the facilities that were provided for in the original Agreement signed on November 20, 1958 and subsequent letters exchanged on May 9, 1960, August 24, 1960 and May 25, 1961.

Please accept the assurances of my highest consideration.”
