Dear Mr AFABLE,,

With reference to the India-Philippine-International Atomic Energy Project at Manila, I have the honour to propose the following :

As a gesture of goodwill and recognition of the emergence of the Reactor Centre at Manila as an active research and training facility, the Atomic Energy Commission of India will offer as gift, the Neutron Crystel Spectrometer and associated equipment loaned to the said Project in 1964-65 for a period of five years.

If the foregoing is acceptable to you, I have the honour to propose that this letter and your reply to that effect shall constitute an Agreement between the Indian Atomic Energy Commission and the Philippine Atomic Energy Commission, which shall come into force on the date of your reply.

Dear Chairman SARABHAI,

I wish to acknowledge gratefully your letter of 29 May, 1969 in which you offered as gift to the Philippine Atomic Energy Commission the Neutron Crystal Spectrometer and associated equipment, loaned to the India-Philippines-International Atomic Energy Agency Project at Manila in 1964-65 for a period of five years.

On behalf of the Philippine Atomic Energy Commission, I hereby accept, with profound thanks the above mentioned gift offer of the Indian Atomic Energy Commission, which symbolizes the goodwill of the Government of India and the close collaboration of our two countries in the peaceful uses of atomic energy.

I agree with your proposal that your aforesaid letter and this reply shall constitute an Agreement between the Philippine Atomic Energy Commission and the Indian Atomic Energy Commission, which enters into force on the date of this letter.
