In the spirit of the Cultural Agreement signed by the two countries in 1962 and with a view to further promote the cooperation between
the Indian and Hungarian scientific institutions.

Have decided upon the present Technical and Scientific Agreement.
Article 1
Both Parties shall support the establishment of direct contacts among their research institutes in the form of the exchange of publications,
consultations, visits of experts from one country to the other and joint research projects.
Article 2
With a view to developing scientific contacts, the Parties shall elaborate joint research programmes and for this purpose will facilitate
visits of senior experts from one country to the other.
Article 3
Both parties shall facilitate the development of scientific contacts by mutually offering scholarships.
Article 4
Each Party shall inform the other in advance about scientific conferences, congresses and symposia of international nature to be held
in its country and shall facilitate the participation of the other Party’s nominees in these programmes.
Article 5
The Parties shall promote the exchange of technical documentation materials, books and publications and will study the conditions
of mutual publication of scientific books.
Article 6
For the implementation of the present Agreement, both Parties shall elaborate working programmes in the form of Minutes. The first
Minute will be valid for a period of two years. Subsequently, the Parties will decide upon the duration of the programmes for the
remaining period of the Agreement.
Article 7
Financial conditions of all the programmes shall be identical with those stated in the Cultural Exchange Programme between the two
countries.
Article 8
The present Agreement shall be implemented on behalf of the respective Parties by the Department of Science and Technology, Government
of India, and by the Institute for Cultural Relations, Government of Hungary.
Article 9
The present Agreement shall be subject to approval by the Contacting Parties and shall enter into force on the date of the exchange
of diplomatic notes on such approval.
The present Agreement shall continue to be in force for a period of five years, subject to its automatic extension for a further period
of five years, unless terminated by either Party by giving to the other a six months’ notice in writing before the expiry of the
first period of five years.
DONE in duplicate in New Delhi on the fourteenth day of February, 1974, in Hindi, Hungarian and English languages, all texts being
equally authentic.
