Appropriation Act (No. 54 of 1971) - Sect 5

Power to transfer unexpended moneys from one Vote to an- other Vote and from one Vote (Programme) to another Vote (Programme) under the same Head of expenditure

5.
(1) Any moneys which, by virtue of the provisions of the First Schedule to this Act, have been allocated to any Vote other than Votes Nos. 3, 5 and 7, appearing under any Head specified in that Schedule but have not been expended and are not likely to be expended, may be transferred to any other Vote under that Head by order of the Secretary to the Treasury or any other officer authorized by him.
(2) In the case of the following Heads included under the First Schedule to this Act, that is to say, Heads 48, 49, 50, 51, 87, 88, 89, 90, 91,92,93,94,95, 96, 154, 155 and 156, any moneys which, by virtue of the First Schedule to this Act have been allocated for Recurrent Expenditure in respect of any Vote (Programme) but not expended and not likely to be expended, may be transferred to any other Vote (Programme) allocated for expenditure under the same Head, by order of the Secretary to the Treasury or any other officer authorized by him.
