(1) Every person who contravenes or fails to comply with any provision of this Act or any regulation made thereunder or any requirement imposed under any such provision or resists or obstructs any officer in the exercise of powers conferred on him under this Act, shall be guilty of an offence and shall on conviction after summary trial before a Magistrate be liable to imprisonment of either description for a term not exceeding six months or to a fine not exceeding five thousand rupees or to both such fine and imprisonment. |

(2) Where an offence has been committed by a body of persons then"
| | (a) if that body of persons' is a body corporate, every director, manager, secretary or officer of that body corporate; or | | |
