| (1) The Authority may by Order published the Gazette make such provision as it thinks expedient for prohibiting or regulating, subject to such exceptions, if any, as may be made by or under the Order-
| | (a) the importation into, or exportation from, Ceylon of all radioactive materials, or radioactive materials of any class or description specified in the Order; | | |
| | (b) the production., acquisition, treatment, storage, transport and disposal of any radioactive material; and | | |
| | (c) the acquisition, production, possession, use disposal, export or import of any plan designed or adapted for the production of use of atomic energy or for research into matters connected therewith. | | |

| (2) Any person who contravenes or fails to complete with an Order made under sub-section (1) shall be guilty of an offence. |
