| 48. Where the Minister certifies by Notification published in the Gazette that it is necessary that any agricultural land specified in the Notification should be acquired for any of the purposes of this Law or for an Agricultural Productivity Committee, that land shall, for the purpose of the application of the Land Acquisition Act, be deemed to be required for a public purpose and may be acquired under that Act for an Agricultural Productivity Committee and may be transferred to such Committee: Provided that notwithstanding any thing to the contrary in that Act the amount of compensation to be paid for the acquisition of that land under that Act shall be in accordance with the provisions of the Agricultural Productivity Law.
