| 124. Any criminal court which desires to examine as a witness in any case pending before the court any person confined in any prison may issue an order to the officer in charge of the said prison requiring him to bring such prisoner to the court. The officer so in charge shall act in accordance with such order and shall provide for the safe custody of the prisoner for the purpose aforesaid. |
