| 194. Subject to the provisions contained in sections 195 and 196, every person residing within Sri Lanka who has attained the age of twenty-one years and has obtained a pass at the General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) Examination or at an equivalent examination in six subjects including Sinhala or Tamil Language, and is in receipt of an income of not less than three hundred rupees per month, shall be qualified and liable to serve as a juror, and every such person who is also a graduate of a recognized university or holds an equivalent professional qualification shall, in addition, be qualified and liable to serve as a special juror. |
