(1) Every warrant of commitment shall be delivered to the superintendent of the prison who shall forthwith take custody of the person named therein, and the said warrant shall be full authority for so doing, and for detaining the said person for the purpose, and for carrying into execution any sentence specified in the warrant. |

(2) The superintendent shall, upon delivery to him of the person named in the warrant, detain him and Keep him safely in custody until the sentence has been carried into execution and shall otherwise comply with the terms of the warrant and with any order lawfully issued to him by any court with respect to such person. |

(3) When any person has been sentenced to be detained during the pleasure of the President of the Republic, he shall be liable to be detained in such please and under such conditions as the President may from, time to time direct, and while so detained shall be deemed to be in legal custody. |
