316. Any person who shall be dissatisfied with any judgment pronounced by any original court in any criminal case or matter to which he is a party may prefer an appeal to the Supreme Court against such judgment for any error in law or in fact: Provided that-
(a) no appeal shall lie against a conviction where such conviction is based on an unqualified admission of guilt made by an accused person; |

(b) no appeal shall lie against a sentence where such sentence is one fixed by law; |
|
(c) no appeal shall lie from an acquittal except at the instance or with the written the Attorney-General: |
| Provided further that no appeal shall lie under any circumstances from an acquittal recorded by a High Court.
