Buddhist And Pali University Of Sri Lanka Act (No. 74 of 1981) - Sect 12

The librarian,

12.
(1) The first Librarian of the University shall be appointed by the President. Every subsequent Librarian shall be appointed by the Council. He shall be a full time officer of the University and shall exercise, perform and discharge such powers, duties and functions as may be conferred or imposed on or assigned to him by this Act or by any regulation.
(2) The Librarian shall, subject to the direction and control of the Vice-Chancellor, be responsible for the administration of the library of the University.
