3. Section 12 of the principal enactment is hereby amended as follows : -
| (a) by the substitution, for the word "protection", of the words " protection or of any country which is a member of the Commonwealth" ; |
|
| (b) by the substitution, for the words " such possession or territory ", wherever they occur in that section, of the words " such possession, territory or country " ; |
|
| (c) by the substitution, for all the words from " were references to the " to the end of that section, of the words " were references to the officer (designated Governor, High Commissioner or otherwise) who is for the time being administering the government of such possession or territory and to the authority appointed by, or under the law of, such country to receive and transmit documents to which this Ordinance applies."; and |
|
| (d) in the marginal note to that section, by the substitution, for the word " protectorates.", of the words "protectorates and countries which are members of the Commonwealth.". |
