(1) The rights in all discoveries and inventions and all improvements in respect of processes, apparatuses and machines made by an officer of the Bureau shall vest in and be the property of the Bureau and shall be made available for use in the public interest subject to such conditions and the payment of such fees or royalties as the Bureau may determine. |

(2) The Bureau may out of the funds of the Bureau pay to any officer of the Bureau, who has made any discovery, invention or improvement referred to in subsection (1) of this section, such bonus, or make provision for such officer to participate in the profits derived from that discovery, invention or improvement, as the Bureau may determine. |

(3) The Bureau may apply for letters patent in respect of any inventions made by any officer of the Bureau and shall for the purpose of the Patents Ordinance be regarded as the assign of the inventor. |
