| (1) A Bhikkhu who is appointed to any post in the University shall not be paid any emoluments. The Dayaka Mandalaya shall, in respect of such Bhikkhu, make such provision as may be necessary to enable him to maintain a standard of life befitting his position. Any expenses incurred in that behalf by the Dayaka Mandalaya shall be charged to the University Fund. |

| (2) Persons, other than Bhikkhus, in the employ of the University may be paid such emoluments as may be determined by Statute. |
