Other officers

8.
(1) There may be appointed in accordance with the provisions of this Act and of the Statutes and Rules such number of officers as may be necessary for the purposes of the University.
(2) An officer appointed under this section shall exercise and perform all such powers and duties as may be prescribed by Statute or Rule.
