3. The general objects for which the Corporation is constituted are hereby declared to be-
(a) to promote the spiritual, intellectual, social and physical welfare of the youths of Batticaloa; |

(b) to promote among them the study of science and literature; |
|
(c) to establish and maintain libraries, reading rooms, gymnasia and other places of common interest; |
|
(d) to engage in social service activities and to assist in the implementation of relief, rehabilitation, and housing activities undertaken by the state ; |
|
(e) to do all such other things as are necessary for or conducive or incidental to, the attainment of all or any of the objects of the corporation. |
