Powers of Registrar to carry out investigations or conduct inquiries into affairs of companies

Where the Registrar considers it necessary for any purpose under this Act to carry out an investigation or to conduct an inquiry into the affairs of a company, he may appoint one or more competent inspectors to investigate or inquire into the affairs of such company, and to report thereon in such manner as the Registrar directs ; and the provisions of sections 163, 164 and 165 shall, mutatis mutandis, apply in any such instance. |
