8. Section 67 of the principal enactment is hereby amended as follows : -
| (1) in subsection (1) of that section, by the substitution, for the expression " in subsection (3) ", of the expression " in subsections (3) and (4) " ; and |

| (2) by the insertion, immediately after subsection (3) of that section, of the following new subsection : -
| | " (4) Where the Governor-Genera] dissolves Parliament and fixes a date or dates for a general election, the Governor-General may, unless Parliament has already made provision in that behalf, authorize the issue from the Consolidated Fund and the expenditure of such sums as he may, after consultation with the Commissioner of Parliamentary Elections, consider necessary for such election.
