Consular Functions (Amendment) Act (No. 18 of 2006) - Sect 6

Insertion of new section 2A in the principal enactment

6. The following new section is hereby inserted immediately after section 2 of the principal enactment and shall have effect as section 2A of that enactment :-
2A. Where a sending State has no diplomatic mission and is not represented by the diplomatic mission of a third State, a consular officer may with the consent of the receiving Stale and without prejudice to his consular status, be authorised to perform diplomatic acts :
