| 24. If it appears to the board that an elected director is unlikely to be able to discharge the duties of his office for a period exceeding one month by reason of absence from Ceylon, illness, ill health, or any other cause whatsoever, the board may appoint a person qualified to be a director to act until the resumption of duties by such director:Provided that in no case may the board appoint a person to act as director for a period exceeding twelve months. |
