| (1) The Commissioner, a Deputy Commissioner, an Assistant Commissioner or any officer authorized in that behalf by the Commissioner may enter and inspect any land on which any specified crop is raised, and it shall be the duty of every person who is in occupation of such land to permit and assist such inspection. |

| (2) Every person who fails to comply with the provisions of subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall, on conviction after summary trial before a Magistrate, be liable to a fine not exceeding one hundred rupees. |
