Penalty for contravention of the provisions of section 25

64.
(1) Any person who acts contrary to the provisions of section 25 shall be guilty of an offence and shall, on conviction after summary trial before a Magistrate, be liable to a fine not exceeding five thousand rupees or to imprisonment of either description for a term not exceeding two years or to both such fine and imprisonment.
(2) The Commissioner may compound an offence under sub-section (1) and may before judgment stay or compound any proceedings thereunder.
