Code Of Criminal Procedure Act (No. 15 of 1979) - Sect 218

Opening of case for prosecution

218. The prosecuting counsel shall then open his case by stating shortly the nature of the offence charged and the evidence by which he proposes to prove the guilt of the accused and shall examine his witnesses who may then he cross-examined by the accused or his pleader.
