Whipping of juvenile offenders under, sixteen years of age
298. Whenever a male offender under sixteen years of age is sentenced by any court to whipping, such whipping shall not exceed six strokes with a light cane and shall be inflicted forthwith in the presence of the court, and if the parent of the offender desires to be present, in his presence. A medical officer need not be present, but such whipping shall not be inflicted unless it appears to the court that the offender is in a fit state of health to undergo the same. |
