| 312. The President may, without the consent of the person sentenced, commute any one of the following sentences for any of the commuted sentences indicated in i the corresponding entry : - Sentence Death Rigorous imprisonment Simple imprisonment Commuted Sentence Rigorous or simple imprisonment for life or for any other term. Any lesser term of rigorous imprisonment, or Any term of simple imprisonment not exceeding the term to which such person might have been sentenced, or fine.
