8.Section 142 of the principal enactment is hereby repealed and the following new section substituted therefor : -

| | (1) Where the offence or any one of them where there is more than one, falls within the list of offences set out in the Second Schedule to the Judicature Act, No. 2 of 1978. or where the Attorney-General has under section 145 (b) or section 393 (7) (b) directed the Magistrate to hold a, preliminary inquiry, the Magistrate shall follow the procedure laid down in Chapter XV, | | |
