| (1) Where the Controller is satisfied that an insurer making an application for registration under this Act has complied with the provisions of sections 5 and 6, the Controller shall register the insurer as a person authorized to carry on insurance business in Ceylon and shall determine the class or classes of insurance business which the insurer is authorized to carry on: |

| (2) Upon the registration of an insurer as herein before provided, the Controller shall issue to the insurer a certificate of registration which shall be kept at all times at the principal office or place of business in Ceylon of the insurer and be made available for inspection by the Controller or any other person authorized by him for the purpose. |
