| (1) Every applicant shall furnish, within the prescribed period, a report, which if not in English shall be accompanied by a translation thereof in English, of an international-type search as may be prescribed: |

| (2) The applicant shall, in the event of his requesting the Registrar to refer his application to a local examiner, for- ward the prescribed fee to the Registrar. |

| (3) In this section "local examiner" means any skilled person or persons to whom the Registrar may refer questions concerning patents. |
