Power of Minister to make Inquiry
66. If at any time it appears to the Minister that any Development Council is omitting to fulfill any duty or to carry out any work imposed upon it by this Act or any other written law he may give notice to the Council that unless, within fifteen days, the Council shows cause to the contrary, he will appoint a special officer to inquire into and report to him the facts of the case, and to recommend what steps such officer thinks necessary for the purpose of fulfilling such duty or carrying out such work. Such inquiry shall be conducted as far as may be practicable, in an open manner. |
