| 80.No matter or thing done or omitted to be done, and no contract entered into by any Development Council, and no matter or thing done or omitted to be done under the direction of the Council, by any member or by any other person whomsoever shall, if the matter or thing so entered into was done or omitted to be done or entered into bona fide for the purpose of carrying out the provisions of this Act or any other written law relating to the powers and duties of the Council, the Chairman or the District Secretary or of any by-law or regulation made thereunder, subject any member or other person personally to any action, liability, claim or demand whatsoever and any expenses incurred by the Council, or by any member or other person acting as aforesaid shall be borne and repaid out of the Fund: Provided that nothing in this section shall exempt any member from liability to be surcharged with the amount of any payment which may be disallowed upon the audit of the accounts of the Council and which such member authorized or joined in authorizing. |
