2. Section 12 of the Declaration of Assets and Liabilities 1975, Law, No. 1 of 1975, is hereby amended by the substitution for the definition of "staff officer to, of the following new definition: " staff officer" means
| (a) in the case of any employee of the Government or a local authority, any officer holding any office the initial of the salary scale of which is Rs. 13,800 per annum or above and whose annual increments are Rs. 480 and above; and |

| (b) in the case of any employee of a public corporation, any officer holding any office the initial of the salary scale of which is not less than Rs. 9,600 per annum or any other salary determined by resolution of Parliament. '. |
