15. Section 16 of the principal enactment is hereby repealed and the following section substituted therefor:-

Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in any other law, where leave to appeal is granted on an application made in respect of an order made in the course any action instituted under this Act, proceedings in the original court shall not be stayed unless the Court of Appeal otherwise directs and where the Court of Appeal so directs, it. shall call upon the appellant, if such appellant had been granted leave by the original court to appear and show cause, under paragraph (c) of subsection (2) of section 6, to give security in cash or by a guarantee from a banker for the satisfaction of the entire claim of that plaintiff or such part thereof as the court may deem fit in all the circumstances of the case, in the event of the appeal being dismissed.". |
