| (1) The Committee shall prior to granting approval for any project relating to the-
| | (i)generation, transmission, distribution or supply of electrical energy , | | |
| | (ii)importation, exportation, storage, distribution or supply of petroleum and petroleum products obtain a report from the Central Environmental Authority established under the National Environmental Act as to the environmental impacts of the proposed project. | | |

| (2) The Committee shall, after consulting the Minister and having given due consideration to the matters contained in the report of the Central Environmental Authority, grant approval for any project referred to in subsection (1). |
