Factories (Amendment) Law (No. 12 of 1976) - Sect 6

Amendment of section 31 of the principal enactment

6. Section 81 of the principal enactment is hereby amended, by the substitution, for subsection (2) hereof, of the following new subsection: -
" (2) Where any person, is to work at a place from which he is liable to fall a distance of more than six feet then, unless the place is one which affords secure foothold and, where necessary, secure hand -hold,' means shall be provided, so far as is reasonably practicable, 'by fencing or otherwise for ensuring, his safety.".
