Forests Law (No. 13 of 1966) - Sect 7

Further prohibited acts. [ 3, 13 of 1966.]

7.
(1) Any person who-
(a) makes any fresh clearing in a reserved forest; or
(b) sets fire to a reserved forest, or in contravention of any regulations made by the Minister1 kindles any fire, or leaves any fire burning in such manner as to endanger the reserved forest or any part thereof ;
(2) Any person who abets the commission of any offence specified in subsection (1) of this section shall also be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to the same punishment as provided in that subsection.
