| 76. Whenever the Crown purchases any land under the provisions of section 75, the Crown shall not be required to pay the whole of the purchase money of such land but shall be entitled to take credit for the amount due from the defaulter under this Ordinance : Provided that in the event of the land sold realizing a less sum than the amount due, nothing herein contained shall preclude the Crown from instituting any civil action or process against the defaulter for the recovery of the balance due by him after deducting the purchase money realized by the sale of the land. |
