8. Section 27 of the principal enactment is hereby amended by the substitution, for subsection (1) of that section, of the following new subsection: -
| " (1) Any person who acts in contravention of any of the provisions of section 14 or section 15 shall be guilty of an offence and shall, on conviction after summary trial before a Magistrate, be liable to a fine not less than two thousand five hundred rupees or to imprisonment of either description for a term not exceeding one year or to both such fine and imprisonment or on a second or subsequent conviction to a fine not less than three thousand rupees or to imprisonment of either description for a term not exceeding two years or to both such fine and imprisonment." |
