| 42. (1) The Director may with the approval of the Monetary Board and having regard to the circumstances in which an offence under this Act was committed, compound such offence for a sum of money not exceeding one hundred thousand rupees. (2) The compounding of any offence under this section shall have the effect of an acquittal of the accused. |
