| (1) All permanent monthly paid employees of the Galle Municipal Council, and members of the Local Government Service attached to the Galle Municipal Council, who are over twenty-one and under fifty years of age, shall be eligible for admission as members, and may, in the discretion of the Committee of Management, be admitted as members. The members of the Local Government Service who are members of the Corporation may continue their membership of the Corporation after their transfer from the Galle Municipal Council to any other local authority in the Island. |

| (2) Every member shall pay an enrolment fee of Re. 1 on enrolment. |
