Section 6 of the General Sir John Kotalawala Defence Academy Act, No. 68 of 1981 (hereinafter referred to as the " principal enactment") is hereby amended in sub- section (1) of that section, by the substitution for the words " unless he earlier vacates office by death, resignation or removal.", of the words "unless he earlier vacates office by death, resignation or removal: Provided however the President may permit a Commandant who has held office for a period of three years to continue in office for a period not exceeding one year. ". |
